DESCRIPTION:Calamus Root Oil is obtained from aquatic plant acorus calamus that has yellowish green flowers and pointed sword like leaves. This essential oil is derived from its dried and unpeeled root or fresh root via steam distillation method. The medicinal properties of this oil are used to formulate herbal medicine for treating dysentery, vertigo, nervous disorders and headache.
CONSTITUENTS:The offered Calamus oil is enriched with compounds like asarone, b-asarone, isoshyobunine, acorenone, shyobunone, a-selinene, camphone, calamendiol, calamusenone, b-gurjunene and a-calacorene.
AROMATIC SUMMARY / NOTE / STRENGTH OF AROMA:Calamus Oil has base to medium note sweet fragrance that slightly resembles to the smell of wax.
BLENDS WITH:This fragrant oil mixes well with olibanum, cinnamon, cananga, cedar wood patchouli, oregano and labdanum essential oils.
COMMON NAMES:This aromatic oil is also referred as Calamus Root Essential Oil and Calamus Essential Oil.
USES:The strong aroma of Calamus essential oil has stimulating effect on nervous function and is effective in treating vertigo, headache and dysentery related health conditions. In Ayurveda, this oil is used to cure flatulence for its carminative attributes. The therapeutic properties of this essential oil prevent multiplication of bacteria that leads to formation of gas in alimentary canal of human body. Moreover, this oil acts as a suitable appetizer and aids in digestion.
