DESCRIPTION:Known for its pleasant fragrance with slight earthy and dry smell, Carrot Seed Oil is derived from the seeds of Daucus carota that belongs to Apiaceae family of plant. This plant is basically wild carrot plant that generally grows in European countries. The hairy leaves of this biennial or annual plant help to minimize their transpiration level. The clustered flowers of this herb are white in color with purpled center.
CONSTITUENTS:This aromatic oil is enriched with compounds like limonene, camphene, b-pinene, carotol, b-bisabolene, a-pinene, myrcene, geranyl acetate, sabinene and y-terpinene.
AROMATIC SUMMARY / NOTE / STRENGTH OF AROMA:The middle note fragrance of this essential oil has distinctive pungent, earthy and woody smell that also reminds about the aroma of musk ( a type of ingredient used in perfume).
BLENDS WITH:Carrot Seed Oil is compatible with other essential oils of geranium, juniper, different types of spice extracted oils, citrus oils, cedar wood, bergamot, lime, lavender and lemon.
COMMON NAMES:This seed extracted oil is also referred as Queen Anne's lace and Wild carrot oil.
