DESCRIPTION:Nardostachys jatamansi plant from which Spikenard Oil is extracted, belongs to Valerianaceae species of plants. This herbaceous plant is also referred as false Indian valerian root. Due to its high therapeutic value, this oil is used to formulate different sorts of medicines.
CONSTITUENTS:Spikenard Oil contains compounds like tetramenthyloxatricylodecanol, jonon, bornyl acetate, 1,8-cineol, maaliol, valeranone, patchouli alcohol and menthylthymyl-ether.
